The Detroit Free Press has partnered with Energage to determine the Top Workplaces of the year. To be eligible for the award, an employee must nominate your organization. Once organizations are nominated, company-wide employee engagement surveys are sent to evaluate and ultimately decide the region's top workplaces. In total, 3,331 employers in Michigan were invited and Detroit Free Press received 56,922 survey responses.
Celebrating over 80 years of service and 4 years of being a Top Workplace, Thornton & Grooms is honored to accept this award. Thank you to the Detroit Free Press for providing the resources and giving us yet another reason to love what we do.
Thornton & Grooms’ purpose is to forever build upon our foundation of professionalism, integrity, and honoring the trades. Our goal is to deliver professional, friendly service while providing the best options for the job at hand. We couldn’t be more appreciative of our customers who trust us to enter their homes and diagnose and fix their plumbing, heating, and cooling issues. When our customers invest in our maintenance plan, they join the Thornton & Grooms family and help us become a better workplace and a better home services provider.
Being named a Detroit Top Workplace in 2021 celebrates our work despite challenges we and the world had faced in 2020. The Coronavirus created uncertainty, and as a company with high goals, it made for some concern. However, our employees remained on the front line, stayed customer-focused, and continued to display our core values of love, teamwork, and professionalism every day. We thank our employees for their dedication and our customers for their trust.
