Thornton & Grooms wins the BBB Torch Award for Ethics

Farmington Hills, Michigan - Thornton & Grooms, a leading plumbing, heating, cooling, and drains company in Metro Detroit, has been awarded the coveted Torch Award for Ethics for 2023 from the Detroit and Eastern Michigan chapter of the Better Business Bureau.

The Torch Award for Ethics is the most prestigious award the BBB can present to a business and nonprofit. This award was established to celebrate local businesses dedicated to building trust through ethical practices with their staff, the community, their approach to marketing, and within their industry; celebrating their high standards of leadership, character, ethics, and ethical enterprising.

“It is such an honor to be nominated and receive the BBB Award for Ethics as we have worked really hard to ensure we are responding to all reviews in a timely manner and always addressing the less than five-star experiences.” Said Sara, Thornton & Grooms’ Customer Care Manager. “We know we are not perfect and there is always room for growth, so we make sure that when a complaint comes in that we own it and come to a fair resolution. At the end of the day, it’s about how you respond to the complaints and as you resolve them, you use them as an opportunity for growth.” Continued Sara.

The award ceremony was held at The Oakland Center where the owners of Thornton & Grooms, Matt Bergstrom, Mike Bergstrom, and Dave Knight were presented with the award. Thornton & Grooms is honored to be the recipient of this award that validates all that Thornton & Grooms does for its customers, community, and team members.

Thornton & Grooms was founded in 1937 and serves the Metro Detroit area with professional plumbing, heating, cooling, and drain services.
